Interview :

How excited are you for the upcoming tour?
It’s something so extraordinary. We were just at the practice facility yesterday and the stage is so large. It’s about 50 yards long, it’s crazy. When we do the choreography and run-through, we realize how big this is going to be.

What have you been doing to prepare for the tour?
I’ve been doing vocal rehearsals. We’ve all been coached. We’re also getting a lot of rest and have switched over to a vegetarian diet. I’m trying to get my brain clear and ready for everything that’s to come.

You were just over in Europe promoting your solo record. How would you describe the sound of it?
The sound is an extension of the Backstreet Boys. It’s related to a certain degree, but it has something that also is only me. It’s a good, positive, pop album with heart and soul. It shows what I contribute to the band.

How did Matthew Morrison end up coming on board?
He wanted to come on the tour with us and we all thought it was a great match. It’s a big, exciting event. We’re all pulling a lot of things together.

Which song are you looking forward to performing the most?
With the new choreography that we have right now, “The Call” is amazing. I’m excited for it all. It’s a lot of fun.

You obviously have a lot of stuff going on, so what do you do to keep yourself balanced?
Last night I downloaded a meditation book. I like to relax and meditate. I think they’re important because I have so much going on, and if I don’t find peace within it all, it could be dangerous for your health. I also switched over to the vegetarian diet.

If you can go back to when you first started Backstreet Boys and give yourself one piece of advice, what would that be?
Nothing. I say this because I love where we’re at. Everything that got us to this point is satisfactory.

What advice would you give to anyone trying to make it in the music industry right now?
Make sure to enjoy it. You have to love it. I don’t really like giving advice to people. Practice and rehearse, but do what you do and really experience it and enjoy the whole journey.

Intervista:

Quanto sei emozionato per il nuovo tour?
E' qualcosa di straordinario.Ieri abbiamo fatto le prove ed eravamo facilitati dalla grandezza del palco. E' lungo circa 50 iarde, è una cosa da non credere. Abbiamo capito quanto era spazioso solo provando le coreografie.

Cosa hai fatto per prepararti al tour?
Ho fatto prove vocali. Ci siamo allenati tutti. Ci siamo riposati tutti molto e stiamo tentando una dieta vegetariana. Cerco di tenere il cervello sgombro, per essere pronto ad affrontare ogni evenienza.

Hai appena promosso il tuo album in Europa, come è il suo suono?
E' come se fosse un estensione dei Backstreet Boys. E' correlato ai Backstreet Boys ed è di un certo livello,ma anche qualcosa che è solo mio.E' un album buono e positivo e credo che sia un contributo alla band.

Come è venuto a bordo Matthew Morrison?
Lui voleva venire in tour con noi, e gli abbiamo dato questa possibilità, è un grande evento ed è molto emozionante, faremo molte cose insieme.

Quale canzone sarà più bello interpretare?
La nuova coreografia di "The Call" è meravigliosa, sono molto emozionato per tutto questo, ci divertiremo molto.

Avendo molte cose da fare, come riesci a trovare il tuo equilibrio?
Ho scaricato un libro sulla meditazione, amo rilassarmi e meditare. E' importante perché ho molto da fare e se non trovo la pace potrebbe essere cattivo per la mia salute, e ovviamente seguo anche una dieta vegetariana.

Se potessi tornare indietro e dare ai Backstreet Boys e a te una sorta di avvertimento, quale sarebbe?
Nulla. Lo dico perché amo dove siamo.Tutto ciò che ci ha portato a qui è soddisfacente

Invece quale avvertimento vuoi dare a chi entra ora nell'industria della musica?
Siate sicuri di divertirvi, dovete amarla, non me la sento di dare veri avvertimenti alle persone. Servono prove a pratica, ma dovete divertirvi.

New Nick's interview!

Here we are with some highlights of the new Nick's interview :)
First of all he said that the paparazzi don't bother him anymore , then he talked about I'm Taking Off and he explained the meaning of Just One Kiss and Addicted for him. The first talks about a person who has a desperate relationship and who wants to amend the things the've done wrong. He feels this song very much cause in the past he has been that type of person.
Addicted is about being in a relationship and you know you are screwed. You love a person and you're addicted.
He rembembered that he's in a relationship with a person for two years and a half and this person surprises him every day.
He reiterates that in the past he has problem with drug and alcohol but he thinks that no drug and no alcohol could compete with the addiction of love.

 punti "salienti" della nuova intervista di Nick :)

Prima di tutto ha affermato che i paparazzi non lo disturbano più, ha parlato di I'm Taking Off e spiegato il significato che hanno per lui Just One Kiss e Addicted. La prima parla di una persona che ha una relazione disperata che vuole modificare tutti gli sbagli che hanno fatto. Si sente molto dentro questa canzone perché è stato quel tipo di persona in passato. Invece Addicted parla di quando hai una relazione e sai di essere fottuto. Tu ami quella persona e sei drogato di lei.
Ha ricordato a tutti che è in una relazione da due anni e mezzo e che ha trovato qualcuno che lo sorprende ogni giorno.
Ribadisce che in passato ha avuto problemi di alcol e droga ma pensa che nè alcool nè droga nè nessuna sostanza sul pianeta possa competere con la dipendenza d'amore.

News from Nick!

Hi everybody, in a recent interview released by Nick in Japan, we've cought some news for you!
Nick declared that during this year, after the tour in South America with the other BSBs, he'll visit Europe in May to promote "I'm Taking Off" (it is the second time he confirms it), it seems the CD is going to be released in Germany on the 27th of the next May.
His favourite track of his solo work is "Falling Down".
He stresses the fact that he's in love with his girlfriend but it seems it will take a little bit more for the marriage, mostly because of some family "problems" he has lived in the past.
Our dear Nick is now 31, and he recently had to face a family mourning... his brother Aaron is in rehab (and it seems he's doing good); same thing for his friend AJ, who's about to finish the rehabilitation, instead :)

Versione italiana : Salve a tutti, in una recente intervista rilasciata da Nick in Giappone abbiamo scovato qualche news per voi!

Nick ha dichiarato che durante quest ' anno, dopo il tour in Sud America con gli altri BSB  a Maggio visiterà l'Europa per la promozione di "I'm taking Off"(è già la seconda volta che lo conferma), il disco sembra che uscirà in Germania il prossimo 27 Maggio.

La traccia che preferisce del suo ultimo lavoro è "Falling down".

Ribadisce che è molto innamorato della sua ragazza ma sembra che ci vorrà ancora molto per pensare al matrimonio, soprattutto per alcuni "problemi" familiari che ha vissuto in passato.

Dice che soprattutto ora predilige la vita sana (fa molto sport e si preoccupa di mangiare genuino) e preferisce rimanere in casa invece di uscire.

Il caro Nick ha da poco compiuto 31 anni, ha dovuto affrontare un lutto in famiglia di recente...suo fratello Aaron è in rehab (e sembra che stia andando piuttosto bene) e anche il suo amico e collega AJ, che però uscirà presto :)

A new Nick's interview...with a lot of news!

DJ Snoopy: You did rock music style in his first solo album. I think you made the second to express who you are. Am I right?
Nick: I think it’s the best I can be, and it is. I waited eight years for a reason, to learn to be a better composer, to learn how to take better care of my health, learn how to look your best, smartest decisions I have taken to choose the best types of music, writing the best type of music. All these different things, I think that’s what it is, is the perfect time for me, and I learned a lot and now is definitely the time I graduated, and the music flowing all together, when you know who you are as an artist, when you know what you want to sing and not just trying, I believe I was a bit like the first album I did not know who I was, and this time people will be able to feel, understand and believe it is very important to believe an artist, what he’s singing is saying. Because if you do not believe it is as if the person you were talking to each other and you do not understand, it makes no sense, you have to relate it with the passion, the whole cd is about passion, love and happiness, that is. That’s what I represent now.

DJ Snoopy: You once told me that these songs can be dedicated to those who lost a love. The songs reflect his own experience?
Nick: The CD, first of all, this cd it is about love, show that there are ups and downs in love and I think everyone can identify with that. I think that’s what matters. If I experienced these things, of course yes, then what I wanted to do was be able to write all this and believe what I write, instead of creating a story that never happened, then yes they were things that happened to me, and it makes things more realistic and believable, and that’s the truth. I believe that any good solo artist or composer has the best material to personal experiences.

DJ Snoopy: You wrote all the songs? I mean, you have participated in the composition of them?
Nick: All of them, I waited all this time to learn how to be a better writer, wrote many things in those eight years, by myself and with others, to be even better. I did not want to release an album without being sure of what I was writing, and I did not release an album with only songs that others wrote, this is not the solo artists do, is an artistic expression, true experiences, so I waited too long, then I am very happy and proud to launch the CD, more or less than three other writers have helped me, but the truth is that most of the songs were influenced by me in this cd, so it’s nice to have other people write for mergers, but most was me.

DJ Snoopy: I think the Backstreet Boys have produced albums using songs that represent your style, or do your best. Moreover, with solo stuff, I think you even make music to show your personality and originality. Am I right?
Nick: I have the opportunity to have this chance to put this music on my cd, and as a solo artist I am allowed to express myself as I said before, the band is a little different, there are other producers and writers, and Sometimes you get a little away for being the youngest of the band, but not necessarily, sometimes it’s like a younger brother, ‘you can do this? you are able to do this? Is it possible? “ Sometimes it seems like a test because then you know how far people can go on, kind people will like my music, I do not know. I’ll just launch and see, I believe it is good, I believe it is something unique, is special, but nobody knows until it is released.

DJ Snoopy: I think you have enjoyed this production work, sound / music. So I was thinking from years ago:

„Nick is completely ready for his second solo album.“ but you did not. So I wonder when you decided to make a second solo album and began to repair itself when the truth ..
Nick: I really started to like it, probably recently, I think everything just came together, that’s why I decided to release the album, because I felt I was ready. And I started to like it when I became a better writer, so I came to understand everything that goes on when you’re working on something alone, so the fun comes when you write songs honestly and you sit with some writers and producers is exciting, but you still write different things, and when you see it all together is when you get to have fun, because you see what you wrote come to life, and that’s why I love the cd.

DJ Snoopy: Please tell us about the album title.
Nick: ‘I’m Taking Off’ is, is the title of a song of the CD, the music is different from the meaning of the title of the album, the title means to me that I’m leaving my refuge, after 8 years waiting and learning and just having a good time for me and not pushing it on first release, I feel I know everything, I went to college and learned a lot and I will implement it in what I do best, and I think this represents the career I want to start or continue, so that’s what ‘I’m Taking Off’ really means.

DJ Snoopy: And the song ‘I’m Taking Off’ what is the meaning of it?
Nick: ‘I’m Taking Off’ is a kind of, music is on the low side of love, not the high side, good side, it’s about a guy who has a realization in his relationship and he often metaphorically jump off rocks, go to space it so I can leave the relationship, is a cunning way of talking about ending someone.

DJ Snoopy: You did a solo tour after releasing your first album. But considering his busy schedule lately, I’m afraid you will not have time to fit a solo tour for the second album. What do you say?
Nick: You will have months that I will have weeks off from touring with BSB in late January and early February I will go to Japan to do some promo and concerts, things like that, and in May I will do promo in Europe.

DJ Snoopy: You are the youngest of the band, and now with BSB + NKOTB, you’re the youngest again. (Laughs)
Nick: I love it! I think it’s great, has a youthful spirit on stage, but I’m excited because you are not 30 years old and I’m not 30 years old and I would again if I had maybe 25 or something.

DJ Snoopy: I feel that 2011 will be a challenging year for the Backstreet Boys since left the label and make their own record label. And for you, you’re launching your solo album and doing solo projects in 2011. So as a group and as Nick Carter, you’re facing a big challenge. As you think about this?
Nick: Absolutely, but I love the challenge, I love being able to see what will happen, let’s say the album does not go very well, and put myself in a position where the end of the year, after the tour with BSB, I I will do my tour, now automatically put music in the media for people to buy the cd to people like the music, first, cuz if they like, whether they like it will be much easier that I return to sing and perform for these people because they want more of that, they want to hear, want to see it, their demand will be good but if they do not require for example, ok whatever, then it will be boring, but I do not see that being the case because I first wanted the songs were good, I wanted this album to be special, that this album would be something to make him long remembered not only for a while, and it keeps the door open for a long time, but will be a challenge, but the music will last forever, that’s what I want.

DJ Snoopy: Nel tuo primo album solista hai lavorato con musica sul rock. Penso tu abbia fatto questo secondo album per esprimere te stesso e come sei veramente. Giusto?
Nick: Penso che sia il meglio che posso fare, e lo è. Ho aspettato otto anni per un motivo: imparare ad essere un compositore migliore, imparare come avere più cura per la mia salute, imparare a vivere al meglio, a prendere le decisioni più intelligenti per scegliere il miglior tipo di musica, scrivendo il miglior tipo di musica. Tutte queste varie cose, come la penso io, sono fatte nel momento perfetto per me; ho imparato molto e ora è definitivamente il momento in cui salgo di livello, e la musica viene da sola, quando sai di essere un artista, quando sai quel che devi cantare senza tentare; penso che quando ho fatto il primo album non sapevo davvero chi ero, ma stavolta la gente sarà in grado di sentire, capire e credere che è davvero importante credere che ciò che canta un artista, in realtà lo sta raccontando. Perché se non credi che sia come se stessi parlando la persona e non la capisci, non ha senso, devi comunicarlo con passione, l’intero CD è sulla passione; amore e felicità, soprattutto. Ecco quel che rappresento ora.

DJ Snoopy: Una volta mi hai detto che queste canzoni possono essere dedicate a chi ha perso un amore. Le canzoni riflettono la tua esperienza?
Nick: il CD, innanzitutto, è sull’amore, fa vedere che ci sono alti e bassi nell’amore, e penso che ognuno si possa identificare in ciò. Penso sia questo che conta. Se ho sperimentato queste cose, ed è così, allora quel che volevo fare era scrivere tutto ciò, e credere in quel che scrivevo, invece di inventare una storia mai successa; sì, sono cose successe a me personalmente, e questo fa il tutto più realistico e credibile, ed è la verità. Credo che ogni bravo cantante o compositore solista tragga il miglior materiale dalla propria esperienza.

DJ Snoopy: Hai scritto tutte le canzoni? Nel senso, hai partecipato alla loro composizione?
Nick: Tutte, ho aspettato tutto questo tempo per essere un migliore compositore, ho scritto molte cose in questi otto anni da solo e con altri, per essere sempre meglio. Non volevo rilasciare un album senza essere sicuro di quel che scrivevo, e non ho rilasciato un album con le sole canzoni scritte da altri, non è quel che fa un cantante solista; è un’espressione artistica, vere esperienze, così ho aspettato molto, e sono molto felice di lanciare il CD. Più o meno tre altri compositori mi hanno aiutato, ma la verità è che la maggior parte delle canzoni erano influenzate da me in questo CD… quindi è stato bello avere altre persone che mi aiutassero, ma il più è solo mio.
DJ Snoopy: Penso che I Backstreet Boys abbiano prodotto album usando canzoni che rappresentano il tuo stile, o comunque stili in cui ti muovi con agilità. Inoltre, con materiale solista, penso anche che fai musica per mostrare la tua personalità ed originalità. Giusto?
Nick: Ho la fortuna di avere chance, di mettere questa musica nel mio CD, e come un solista mi è permesso di esprimere me stesso come detto prima, il gruppo è un po’ diverso, ci sono altri produttori e compositori e qualche volta sei quasi messo da parte per il fatto di essere il più giovane, anche se non spesso. Qualche volta ti senti quasi come un fratello minore; “lo puoi fare? Ce la fai a farlo? E’ possibile?”.
Certe volte sembra quasi un test perchè vedi quanto lontano la gente possa spingersi, quanti apprezzeranno la tua musica, non lo so. Lancerò il Cd e staremo a vedere, penso che la risposta sarà buona, e che sia qualcosa di unico, è speciale, ma nessuno lo saprà prima del suo rilascio.

DJ Snoopy: Ho creduto per anni "Nick è davvero pronto per il suo secondo album solista", ma tu non l'hai mai fatto...mi sono stupito quando hai deciso di realizzarlo...
Nick: ha cominciato a piacermi molto recentemente...penso che tutto si sia fuso insieme, e ho deciso di far uscire l'album, perché ho capito di essere pronto.Ho cominciato ad apprezzarlo di più quando sono diventato uno scrittore migliore, ho cominciato a capire quello che va e non va quando lavori da solo. Il divertimento nello scrivere c'è solo quando scrivi canzoni onestamente e stai lavorando con autori e produttori...è eccitante. Ma tu stai scrivendo cose differenti e quando le vedi tutte insieme (le tue e quelle degli autori), allora lì comincia il divertimento, ecco perché amo il cd!

DJ Snoopy: Per favore ora parlami del titolo dell'album...
Nick: ‘I’m Taking Off’ è il titolo di una canzone del CD, la musica è differente dal significato del titolo dell'album,il titolo vuol dire per me che sto abbandonando il mio riparo, dopo otto anni , aspettando ed imparando e vivendo dei bei momenti. Sento di sapere tutto, sono andato al college e ho imparato tanto e lo applicherò in quello che mi riuscirà meglio.Questo rappresenta la mia carriera...ed è questo che significa per me "I'm taking Off".

DJ Snoopy: Qual'è il significato della canzone ‘I’m Taking Off’ ?
Nick: ‘I’m Taking Off’ (...) parla di un ragazzo che ha due relazioni allo stesso momento e che metaforicamente, per sfuggire ad una di queste salta le rocce, va nello spazio...e un modo astuto per parlare della fine di qualcosa.

DJ Snoopy: Hai fatto un solo tour dopo l'uscita del tuo primo album. Ma considerando tutti gli impegni che hai con la band...ho paura che non riuscirai a fare così anche stavolta...
Nick: Avrò mesi in cui non sarò impegnato con il tour assieme ai BSB...andò in Giappone a fare qualche concerto promozionale e a Maggio andrò a far promozione anche in Europa.
DJ Snoopy: Sei il più giovane dei BSB e ora che c'è stata l'unione con i NKOTB sei di nuovo il più giovane!
Nick: Adoro tutto questo! (...) mi sento come sei avessi non 30 anni, ma 25!

DJ Snoopy: Sento che il 2011 sarà un anno impegnativo per i Backstreet Boys soprattutto per il fatto che non avete più la stessa casa discografica.E sarà un anno impegnativo anche per te, per il tuo tour solista e per il tuo album! Sia come gruppo che come Nick Carter devi affrontare una grande sfida...che ne pensi?
Nick: Assolutamente, ma amo le sfide, amo stare a vedere quello che succede, (...) voglio soprattutto che le canzoni siano belle, e voglio che questo disco sia speciale, che sia ricordato a lungo, e che tenga aperte tutte le possibilità a lungo...ma sarà una sfida...ma la musica durerà sempre, è quello che voglio.

Brian talks about AJ...

Brian Littrell says he thinks that the current rehab stint for his friend and BSB AJ McLean, will work because he wasn't forced to go.
During a recent radio interview, Brian said, "I'm proud that he would go into this situation willingly ... last time it was a lot worse. He really went into rehab unwillingly the last time."
Brian said AJ made the decision to go a month ago while the band was touring...we hope he will return very very very SOON!

Versione italiana : Brian Littrell dice che pensa che l'attuale rehab del suo amico e collega AJ McLean, funzionerà perché non è stato costretto ad andarci.
Durante una recente intervista radiofonica (una delle tante), Brian ha detto, "Sono orgoglioso che sia andato volentieri in questa situazione ... l'ultima volta era molto peggio. E 'realmente andato in rehab a malincuore l 'ultima volta."
Brian ha detto che AJ ha preso la decisione di andare un mese fa, mentre la band era in tour ... speriamo che tornerà molto molto molto presto!

Interview with a fan on the cruise

Here we are, sharing with you the experiences of a fan like us, who allowed us to interview her, and told us something about the cruise. So, before we begin the post, we'd like to than Federica for her kindness  (you can also have a look at the two photos taken by her here in the post!).

Q: First of all, how many Italians were there on the cruise?
A: We were eight Italians at all... and among us there was a guy too! There were a lot of Japanese people though.
Q: How did the BSB behave towards the fans?
A: They were fantastic, I really didn't expect something like that! They showed themselves very often, even during the meals, and also during the concerts they came down from the stage to stay among the crowd... Howie was the only one who stayed more by his own. One of the best things of the whole event was that, differently from what happens during a common concert, where you can see them for just 2 hours... in such an occasion like this one you can see them as they really are all day.
Q: Which event did you prefer?
A: Absolutely the Beach Party, they had a lot of fun too, with the tug of war and playing volleyball.
Q: What can you tell us about their girlfriends/wives? How did they behave?
A: The one who mostly stayed by her own was Howie's wife, while Brian's wife was always present, in every event... it was like she was the fifth Backstreet Boy; Lauren was always with Nick (there was also her father); Rochelle was always black dressed and she stayd by her own too...
Q: Is it true that they've drunk a lot?
A: Well, they all drank indeed... but mostly Nick did, I think he really gave his worst!
Q: Have they added some changes during the concert "This is us tour"-like?
A: They've sung a short piece of the song they've recorded with the NKOTB and Nick let us hear two new songs to be released with the next CD ("I'm taking Off"), they would also like to record a CD entirely composed by unreleased songs and it seems they're gonna party up their 18 years of successes, organising a new cruise very soon, maybe in Europe, and they'll rent the whole ship this time.

Versione Italiana:Ecco l'esperienza di una fan come noi, che si è offerta di raccontarci qualcosa della crociera, grazie Federica (potete vedere anche due foto scattate da lei).

Prima di tutto, in quanti italiani eravate sulla crociera?
Eravamo in tutto otto...e tra loro c'era anche un fan maschio! C'erano un sacco di giapponesi però.
I BSB come si sono comportati con i fans?
Si sono comportati benissimo, non mi sarei mai aspettata una cosa del genere! Si sono fatti vedere spessissimo, anche durante i pasti, durante i concerti anche scendevano tra la folla, solo Howie è rimasto spesso sulle sue.
La cosa bella è che ad un concerto li vedi per due ore...in un'occasione del genere li vedi davvero come sono.
Qual'è stato l'evento che hai preferito?
Sicuramente il beach party, si sono divertiti molto anche loro, con il tiro alla fune e giocando a pallavvolo.
Che mi dici delle varie consorti, loro come si sono poste?
Quella che si è tenuta più in disparte è stata la moglie di Howie, quella di Brian è stata invece partecipe di tutto...era come se fosse il quinto Backstreet Boys, anche Lauren era sempre con Nick (c'era perfino suo padre) , Rochelle era sempre vestita di nero e anche lei si è tenuta un po' in disparte...
Ma è vero che hanno bevuto molto?
Beh hanno bevuto un po' tutti...ma in particolare Nick, credo che abbia davvero dato il peggio di sè!
Nel concerto in stile "This is us tour" hanno apportato delle modifiche?
Non così grandi...hanno inserito in scaletta "If i knew then" e c'è stata una proposta di matrimonio sul palco.
Hanno parlato di qualche progetto futuro?
Ci hanno fatto sentire un pezzetto della canzone che hanno realizzato con i nkotb e nick ne ha fatte sentire due del suo cd in uscita ("I'm taking Off" ndr.),vorrebbero realizzare un cd di inediti e sembra che vogliano festeggiare i loro 18 anni di carriera facendo una nuova crociera molto presto, forse in Europa, ed affitteranno tutta la nave.
